On Monday, September 24, 2019, the approval for a Wegmans in Lower Makefield near Shady Brook Farm has been confirmed. Zoning planners announced that the plans for Wegmans grocery store on Stony Hill Road, right off of I-295 will include a 36-acre development of the market in a plaza currently planned to called Prickett Preserve at Edgewood.

The 4-1 votes is the project’s first steps thus far. If voting continues to succeed in favor of the new development with the township, the next steps would be proceeding with the land development.

According to Vince DeLuca, of DeLuca Homes. “It is an opportunity to bring new economic opportunities to Lower Makefield, while providing historic preservation and traffic improvements to the area.”

DeLuca Homes is also excited to announce that along with the Wegmans, there will be six additional retail buildings, nine residential buildings, and a clubhouse.
