Who would’ve thought the Philadelphia Eagles would be heading to the playoffs, especially after just 5 weeks ago their record was 4-7! After a long, tense game, the Eagles were able to beat the New York Giants and clinch the title of NFC East Champions!
Top plays were the longest pass of the day at 41 yards was caught by Deontay Burnett, who was only signed to the practice squad last week and promoted on Thursday, and by the only running back during the second half, Boston Scott, scoring three touchdowns; and with defensive tackle Fletcher Cox recovering a fumble at the Giants’ 2-yard line early in the fourth quarter.
All of these plays led to a 34-17 win over the New York Giants on Sunday, enabling the Eagles to clinch the NFC East with a 9-7 record.
The Eagles have several key players still out with injuries, but rumor has it that a few might be able to return for the first playoff game next week. The Philadelphia Eagles will take on The Seattle Seahawks next Sunday at 1:40 pm at home! Fly Eagles Fly!
